About this event

Developing new products and services is a risky business activity but can deliver great returns. This workshop will highlight some key items that need to be considered to improve the chances of success and reduce the cost of failure. The approaches provided are easy to apply and don’t require the wholesale adoption of new tools or techniques.

The learning and development opportunities provided by this workshop are well suited to Product Development Managers, Business Development Managers, anyone tasked with developing a product or identifying new product or service opportunities.

At the workshop you will learn about:

  • How to balance planning with action
  • What information you need about your market, and how to find it
  • How to determine the best sales channel
  • Hose to position and sell your product or service
  • Reduce time to market, time to cash
  • Avoid product disasters
  • Growing businesses in new sectors

Prior to attending the session you will sent a brief questionnaire so as to enable the workshop leader to better tailor the session to participants needs.

The session will take place online, with a Zoom link sent to you along with any preparatory work in good time before the workshop takes place.

The workshop leader is Alistair Fox BSc, MSc, MBA, CEng who has over 25 years’ international experience of Marketing, Sales and Product Development gained from working within the IT, Technology, Utilities and Automotive sectors. Since 2014 he has been a mentor and run a range of workshops at Innovation Birmingham, Warwick University, BCU, NTU and DMU.
